Welcome to Kyle Elementary School, Home of the Panthers! My name is Karen Lucita, and I have the honor of being the principal of a school that has a rich history, wonderful families, incredible staff and super students. This is my twenty-fourth year in Education and Hays CISD. I live in Kyle with my husband, Joey Lucita, who is the Head Band Director at Moe and Gene Johnson High School and our two dogs, Frankie and Sophie.
Our academic focus this year will be on math problem solving, literacy comprehension, and writing across the curriculum. We are in our fourth year of our campus House System. Everyone, students and staff, are part of a House that is based on the 7-Character Traits.
We want to keep in touch with our families. A weekly newsletter, Panther Proclamation, is emailed to all families and posted on our Kyle Elementary School Facebook and @kespanthers Twitter pages.
