Hello Tom Green Hornets!

Welcome to the start of a new school year!  We are thrilled to have you and your children as part of our school community.  Our theme for this year is “One Team, One Goal,” and we truly believe that together, we can achieve incredible things.

I have been the proud principal of Tom Green Elementary since 2018!  My passion and commitment as an educator have been shaped by my experiences as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. 

At our school, we firmly believe that all students can achieve at high levels.  Our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing support, resources, and encouragement needed to help each child reach their full potential. 

On a personal note, I live in Austin with my husband, Chad.  We moved to Texas in January of 1997 after growing up in Iowa and graduating from Iowa State University.  (Although, I still cheer for the Iowa Hawkeyes!).  We have two grown children. Our daughter, Olivia, is an educator as well-a middle school social studies teacher.  Our son, Luke, is attending Colorado School of Mines and plays on their Men’s Soccer Team.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education.  We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working together as one team to achieve our common goal-helping your child succeed!
