Hello there,

I am Coach Roger Garza and very excited to be teaching Chemistry for the 2023 - 2024 school year!   This is my fifth year at Johnson High School and very proud to be a founding staff member at JHS.  I have been coaching and teaching for 17 years. I truly enjoy teaching science and have taught Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and IPC. I will also be coaching football, power lifting and baseball this school year. 

I have two awesome children and they have grown up in our school district. My son is a junior and my daughter is a sophomore at JHS. My lovely wife also works in the school district and we have lived in this community for 17 years. We love the Hays CISD community and family and are excited to be a part of it. 

Teaching is a passion of mine and I enjoy seeing students learn throughout the year. I want students to not only be successful in my classroom but in life. Please let me know if you ever have any questions because I am here to support all of you.
