• This is my 21st year in education and my 3rd year as a guidance counselor. I am happy to be returning to Hays CISD after serving as a high school counselor in another district for the past two years.  I truly missed the students, closeness, support and friends in the community of Hays CISD.

Previously, while employed in Hays, I served as a 4th and 5th grade teacher at Fuentes Elementary, GT and math intervention teacher at Tom Green Elementary, as well as an instructional technologist.  My last stop in Hays was as the technology teacher at Blanco Vista Elementary.  While I loved teaching technology, I truly missed one-on-one interactions with students.  I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a counselor and sought my counseling certification so that I could work more closely with individual students.

I am the proud mom of two daughters, brought up in the Hays CISD school system and graduates of Hays High School.  In my spare time, mostly spent with the girls, we go camping, antiquing and spend time with our three dogs, two cats and a horse.

I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year at Live Oak Academy.
