HHS NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Students who meet the following minimum requirements will be invited to apply to become a member of the Hays High School Chapter of the National Honor Society:

• Student must have been enrolled at Hays High School for a minimum of 1 full semester.
• Student must be enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior
• Student must have earned a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a weighted 4.0 GPA scale.

Students who meet the above minimum requirements will be invited to complete and submit an application for consideration for membership in the NHS. Student applications will be evaluated in the following areas:

• Leadership (5 points)
• Service (5 Points)
• Character (5 Points)
• Scholarship (5 Points)
• Essay (5 points)
