Hays CISD Technology is pleased to announce its third annual
Technology Showcase. The Showcase is
designed to allow teachers and students the opportunity to share with the
community, fellow teachers and students the “out of this world”
technology projects that are happening in our District. Make sure that
you get involved and become a part of this wonderful opportunity to share
your technology successes with others! |

STUDENTS: Hays CISD students grades
K-12 have the opportunity to participate by submitting their own original
artwork to represent this year’s theme of no limITs! with Instructional Technology. The over-all logo winner’s artwork will be used in the
advertisement of the Showcase. Prizes will be awarded to the winners! |

TEACHERS: Teachers and students of all ages and grade levels in HCISD use
technology on a daily basis for content delivery, extension of learning, and
enrichment of lessons, but many parents and community members have little
opportunity to witness the outcome of the millions of dollars invested in
educational technology. A perception
develops, further reinforced by the use of video games and cell phones in the
home, that technology is chiefly used for reward, leisure time, and
entertainment or socializing. Often parents
don't realize what a great benefit their children receive from their frequent
exposure to technology in an educational setting. The no limITs! Showcase will give parents and interested
community members the chance to view the outstanding examples of technology
usage in HCISD, and give teachers and students the venue to showcase their
innovative technology infused lesson plans and student projects. |
