Arriving at Science Hall
7:20 School
doors open and breakfast begins
7:40 The
first warning bell rings
Students should be on their way to class.
7:45 The
tardy bell rings and any student not in their classroom is considered
tardy. (Exceptions are made for late buses or delays in the serving of
breakfast.)
Parent
Drop-Off:
Students may be dropped off by parents in the front of the school only.
The front doors open and teachers are on duty beginning at 7:20am. This
is the official start of the school day, and there is no supervision
before 7:20am. If you would like to park and walk your child into the
building, please use the crosswalks. We have staff on duty in the hall
that will help students get to their correct room. After the first week,
older siblings or relatives will be able to escort younger children only
as far as the hall door.
Bus
Drop-Off:
The
side drop off area is for buses only. This is also the area for staff
and faculty parking. Please do not drive in this side parking lot to
drop of your child. This is for the safety of everyone.
Walkers:
Follow the
directions of the crossing guard. Students should walk on the sidewalk
once they are on school property.
Enter by the front door and go directly to the cafeteria if you eat
breakfast or directly to your room if you do not want breakfast.
Bike Riders:
As
soon as our bike racks arrive, students will be able to ride their bikes
on the sidewalk to the front door area. Be sure to bring a lock to use
for your bicycle.
*Tardy Slips:
If you drop off your child at a time where they will not make it to
their classroom by 7:45, please escort them into the building to receive
a tardy slip.
Going Home from Science Hall
Dismissal
times:
·
Kinder, 1st
and 2nd graders leave their classrooms at 2:35pm
·
3rd,
4th, and 5th graders leave their classrooms at
2:40 pm
Parent Pick
Up:
Parents may pick up their children in the front of the school. Please
form one line. We ask your children to wait until they are
directed to load the car for safety. If you plan to park and walk in to
get your child, please use the crosswalks going to and from the school.
In
order to make the pick up process go more smoothly, we ask that you
place the color-coded card with your child’s name on it in the front
right part of your windshield. This will help us have your child ready
to load into your car when you reach the front of the school.
Bus Riders:
Teachers load each student on to the bus. Once a student is on the bus,
we cannot take them off unless a note was received before 1:00pm. This
is for the safety of your child.
Walkers and
Bike Riders:
All
walkers should leave the school area to the right of the property and
follow the directions of the crossing guard.
*As stated
in the SHES Student Handbook, please let the office or your child’s
teacher know by 1:00pm if your child will be going home a different way.
For permanent changes, please send notification in writing, and contact
the Transportation Office if your child will begin riding the bus
(268-2141).

7:20 Las puertas de la escuela abren y comienza el desayuno

7:45 El sonido de llegada tarde suena y todo estudiante fuera de su
salón es considerado tarde. (Excepciones se harán por camiones tardes y
atrasos con el desayuno.)
Entrega de Padres:
Los padres pueden entregar a sus hijos solamente en la puerta
principal de la escuela. Las puertas principales abren y los maestros
están de servicio a las 7:20am. Si quiere estacionarse y bajarse con su
hija/hijo, favor de usar el paso de peatones. Tenemos personal en los
pasillos para ayudar a sus hijos llegar al salón apropiado. Después de
la primera semana, hermanos grandes o parientes solamente podrán
acompañar a los menores hasta las puertas del pasillo.
Entrega de Camiones:
El área de entrega al lado del edificio es solamente para
camiones. Es también el estacionamiento para el personal y la facultad.
Por favor no se estacione en este estacionamiento para entregar a su
hija/hijo. Esto es para la seguridad de todos.
Estudiantes que Caminan:
Siguen las instrucciones del guardia del paso de peatones.
Estudiantes deben caminar en las banquetas una vez que llegan a la
propiedad escolar. Entran por la puerta principal y van directamente a
la cafetería para desayunar o ir directamente al salón si no va a
desayunar.
Ciclistas:
En cuanto lleguen nuestras rejillas para bicicletas, se les permitirá a
los estudiantes montar su bici a la escuela usando la banqueta que da a
la entrada principal. Asegure traer un candado para cerrar con llave su
bicicleta.
*Aviso de Tardanza:
Si entrega a su hija/hijo a una hora que no llegara a su salón antes de
las 7:45, por favor acompáñelos para entra en el edificio para que
reciban su aviso de tardanza.
Yéndose a Casa de
Science Hall
Horario de Salidas:
·
Kinder, 1º, y 2º salen de sus salones a las 2:35 p.m.
·
3º, 4º, y 5º salen de sus salones a las 2:40 p.m.
Levantados por Padres:
Padres pueden levantar a sus hijos en la entrada de le escuela.
Por favor formen una fila. Pedimos que sus hijos esperen a que se
les haya dirigido que pasen al carro por su seguridad. Si planea
estacionarse y entrar a levantar a su hija/hijo, use el paso de peatones
al entrar y salir de la escuela.
Para permitir que este proceso funcione sin problemas, pedimos
que coloquen un letrero de color con el nombre de su hija/hijo en la
parte de adentro de su parabrisas. Esto nos ayudara alistar al
estudiante para subirse al auto cuando lleguen al frente de la escuela.
Viajadores de Camión:
Los maestros llevaran a cada estudiante a su camión. Una vez que
se ha subido el estudiante al camión, no se bajara al menos de que se
haya recibido un aviso antes de la 1:00 p.m. Esto se hace por la
seguridad de sus hijos.
Caminadores y Ciclistas:
Todo estudiante que se va a casa caminando debe salir del área
escolar a la derecha del terreno y seguir el guardia del paso de
peatones.
*Como es indicado en el Manual Estudiantil de SHES, por favor avise a la
oficina o a la maestra de su hija/hijo para la 1:00 p.m. si se irá a
casa de manera fuera de lo común. Si los cambios serán permanentes,
favor de mandar notificación por escrito y comuníquese con la Oficina de
Transporte al 268-2141, si su hija/hijo empezara a viajar en camión.
