Negley Elementary Walkers, Bike Riders, Drop off and Pickup.

Driving instructions:
Car rider pickup is in the side parking lot of the building beside the Plum Creek Pool. Many more cars can load and unload at the same time at this entrance. If you are dropping off your child in the morning or picking up your child in the afternoon we ask that you approach the school from the south, headed north on McNaughton. If you are entering the subdivision via Witte it will help traffic if you turn right at the roundabout onto Hartson, left on Wetzel, two block to the south, and left on McNaughton just south of the school. This will prevent you from having to make a left turn across McNaughton into the school parking lot beside the swimming pool.

AM Dropoff
Please wait in line to enter the side parking lot beside the Plum Creek Pool from the McNaughton entrance. Pull up to the end of the car drop off area – even with the red brick ramp – this allows the maximum number of cars to load and unload at the same time. Your child(ren) should exit the car from the right and proceed into the building via the cafeteria entrance. Students will go directly to their homeroom class for the first week of school. Please exit the side parking lot by turning right onto McNaughton.

PM Pickup
Please wait in line to enter the cafeteria / side parking lot from McNaughton. After you enter the cafeteria parking lot, beside the Plum Creek Pool, pull up to the end of the car drop off / pickup area – even with the red brick ramp – this allows the maximum number of cars to load and unload at the same time. Your child(ren) will enter the car from the right after being called from the gym. Students will wait inside the gym be called by radio when you pull up beside the cafeteria entrance. In order to have your child at the car when you arrive we ask you to place the Car Rider Pickup Card with your child’s Grade, First Name and Last Initial and Teacher’s Name (see example pdf) on the passenger side of your dashboard so the teacher on duty can call that name over the radio. Please exit the parking lot by turning right onto McNaughton.

Walkers and Bike Riders
Wait for the crossing guard to assist you crossing McNaughton. Bike riders should walk their bicycles across the street. Students may enter the building through the main front entrance or the cafeteria entrance. For the first week of school, proceed to your classroom.
