We are busy learning new and exciting things each day at Tobias Elementary. Please see the information below for special events that will be taking place throughout the month.
February 6-10 is National School Counselor Week. Please take a moment to thank Ms. Smith, our school counselor, for all of the services she provides to our students and families. In her classroom guidance lessons, students have been learning about peace and friendship. She has been working with some students in Student Council to coordinate a skit on bullying which will be presented at the February 9th PTA meeting.

New Hays CISD PTA Council Gets Charter
Texas PTA Representatives Present Hays CISD Council of PTAs with Charter Certificate Representatives from Texas PTA presented a formal charter to leaders of the the Hays CISD Council of PTAs during the school board meeting January 23, 2012. This charter recognizes the official completion of the council's organizational process. PTA

Hays and Lehman Remain 4-A; Have New District Competition

Athletic Realignment Announced
The University
Interscholastic League (UIL) announced Thursday the schools which have been
assigned to each football district through 2014 and basketball district through
next school year. Both Hays and Lehman High Schools will remain in the 4-A
Conference and in UIL District 27, but they will have a different competition
line-up.
District 27 (4-A) now
includes: Boerne Champion, Hays, Kerrville Tivy, Lehman, Lockhart, Alamo
Heights, Clemens, and Seguin High Schools.

Blanco Vista Presidential Challenge
Students at Blanco Vista are challenged to read a biography of a president or First Lady,
complete a series of physical fitness tasks, and tell an interesting fact about their
person of choice. If these challenges are met the student will be invited to attend
Blanco Vista's Presidential Popcorn Party.
