Philosophy
It is the belief of the Hays CISD
Student Health Services Staff that parents are of primary
importance in managing the overall well-being of students. We believe that a healthy child
will be better prepared for the task of learning. We believe that all children should have
access to health care when needed. We believe in the theory of Maslows hierarchy;
that children must have basic physiological needs met in order to fulfill their
educational, emotional and social potential. We view ourselves as liaisons between
students, school personnel, parents and physicians. We act as advocates for the health
related needs of our students.
