History

The Hays CISD Education Foundation was established in 1998 to support the educational programs for both the students and staff of the Hays consolidated Independent School District.  The Foundation provides funds for educational programs and activities, which either have not been funded or have been under-funded by the normal operating budget.  These funds are used to facilitate student achievement and skill development, to recognize and encourage staff excellence and to expand community involvement from individuals, businesses and civic organizations.

  • Denim N Diamonds, which has become the fall social event of the area, continues to bring in attendees and donations. The event is currently the Education Foundation’s strongest fundraising initiative;

  • Another group of 50-plus graduates head to college with Dell technology gift cards in recognition of academic excellence; and

  • A $200,000 endowment established by Dale and Libby Linebarger will grow and ensure financial stability for students in this district for years to come.
