Texas law requires public school
districts to prepare and publish an annual AEIS report, make it
available to the public, and hold a public hearing to discuss
the report. The law
specifies that the report must include information in four
specific areas; academic performance, performance objectives,
violence incidents and student safety, and finally
post-secondary enrollment and performance of our high school
graduates.
The
main part (Sections I-III) of
the report is comprised of sets of data reports prepared by the
Texas Education Agency that report performance and profiles for
the district and each campus in the district.
Section
IV includes the campus performance objectives that have
been developed by each campus leadership team and approved by
the school board.
Section
V includes information on the number, rate, and type of
violent incidents that occurred on each district campus during
2007-08 along with information about policies and procedures the
district has in place to protect students.
Section
VI includes the most recent reported data by the Texas
Higher Education Coordinating Board that reports the enrollment
and performance of Hays CISD students in postsecondary
institutions during their first year after graduation.
Section
VII contains a very extensive glossary of things used in
all of the state reports (Sections I-III) with explanations for
how they are calculated. This
is very helpful in reading and understanding the state reports.
The
entire report is very lengthy and is posted below in sections.
Clicking on a section title below will open a pdf
document of that portion of the report in another window.
These may be saved to your computer or printed out.
