Bell Schedules

We will follow the Character Strong bell schedule every day after a weekend or a holiday. For the remainder of the week, we will follow the LIT bell schedule. Occasionally, we will have an Activity Schedule. Please see the link below for the day-by-day bell schedule. You are always welcome to call the office as well.

Hays CISD Names Perez as New JHS Band Director
Hays CISD Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright announced Monday, following approval from the Board of Trustees, the hiring of Joni Perez to become the director of bands at Johnson High School. She will replace longtime band director Joey Lucita who led band programs at both Lehman and Johnson High Schools during his service to the students of Hays CISD. Lucita is retiring this year. Perez brings to the district more than 20 years of experience in music education, including extensive and award-winning performance experience with her students. Hays CISD Hires: Cullen ES Principal, Hays HS Head Football Coach, Chief Technology Officer
Hays CISD Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright announced Monday several high-level personnel decisions following approval from the Board of Trustees at its regular business meeting on January 22, 2024. Current Pfluger Elementary School Principal Elizabeth Lara was selected to become the first principal for Jim Cullen Elementary School, which will open in August. Mark Torres, current head football coach for Pebble Hills High School in El Paso, Texas, will become the athletic coordinator and head football coach for Hays High School. And, Alan Duerr, deputy chief technology officer for Hays CISD, has been promoted to chief technology officer.
