Hays CISD is excited to offer you an electronic method to view your child’s grades and attendance online. This access is available for parents / guardians of students in grades 2-12.  The Portal login address & instructions will be sent to you after successful completion of the access process.

To gain secured access begin the process now…

1. Download, print, complete, and sign the: 
     
     Discovery Portal Access Request Form (link)

2. Email, mail or fax the completed form. Addresses and fax number are on the form. The form must be completely filled out and have an authorized signature to be processed.
    

3. After the submitted form has been verified against our student information database, you will receive an email with confirmation information and detailed instructions for creation of your Discovery Portal login. (Please allow time for processing.)

The Discovery Portal is as current as the teacher’s electronic gradebook. Remember, teachers have the full-time job of teaching, planning, collaborating, meeting and assessing student work.  Please allow teachers adequate time to grade papers and enter grades. Grades for the week should be posted in the electronic gradebook by the following Tuesday at midnight. Major projects and research papers may require additional time to grade.

• Questions concerning your child’s grade should first be discussed with your child, then your child’s teacher.
• All questions concerning student information in the portal should be directed to your child’s campus.
